"Chindōgu (珍道具) is the Japanese art of inventing ingenious everyday gadgets that, on the face of it, seem like an ideal solution to a particular problem. However, chindōgu has a distinctive feature: anyone actually attempting to use one of these inventions would find that it causes so many new problems, or such significant social embarrassment, that effectively it has no utility whatsoever." – Wikipedia
Flashy Sunday is selling a lifestyle!
The company produces gaudy things for cool, self-deprecating and funky boys and girls aged 18-30 years.
The target audience are hip, earthy and nontraditional. They are young at heart and like ugly-cool stuff.

Flashy Sunday is the brand – The Led-light-robe is the product.
The Led-light-robe is a bathrobe with led-lights around its hood. It's ment to be used when waking up in the middle of the night and you don't want to turn on the lights in your house while going to the toilet, getting a glass of water or starting to read a new book. It's basicly a lazy & cozy product.

Visual identity:
Main Pattern for Flashy Sunday's Visual identity. Made with acrylics & gold leaves on canvas – then digital editied with a vectorized leopard-pattern.
Brochure:
Inspired by those gaudy fluffy teenage diaries from the 80s & 90s, I created this unconventional brochure explaining and introducing the Led-light-robe. Using this hot pink fluffy-fabric, plastic, neon-colours, ugly-cool materials & details and actual Led-lights in the front of the brochure, I sewed and made this brochure/diary by hand.
Packaging:
Using mainly plastic, I created this unconventional & practical packaging. It's a backback, so you can proudly cary your Led-light-robe home to bed. I cut out all the small leopard-pattern-pieces, so the fabric and colour of the robe can show through. It's all handsewn......
Web-design:
A web-page introducing the Led-light-robe. Made as a One Page-site with a lot of focus on social media.
Thank you for watching!
(I had a lot of fun creating this gaudy world)
